The health benefits of yoga are numerous, too many to count. But at Green City Yoga we believe that yoga is not just for health, it is a means to understand oneself and the world around us. We are known for safe yoga practices and creating strong yoga teachings with philosophy foundations.
Exploring yoga on a deeper level was a turning point in my life. In 2016 I completed my teachers training from Sivananda Ashram and from this I decided to stay at the ashram to serve through their karma yoga programme. The following year I completed my Advanced Teacher Training course.
Since then I have taught in Taiwan and across different parts of India as well as continuing my studies to delve deeper into the yoga teachings. I was given the opportunity to study the Yoga Vedanta Course from Divine Life Society for two months exploring more into philosophy.
Last year I decided to return home to Delhi to start Green City Yoga with my brother, doing what I love in the city I love. I want to bring the positive experience that yoga and the teachings have had on my life to more people.
I’m a trained social worker, working with people from all walks of life since 2005, and a full time Yoga teacher since 2014. I have travelled and lived around India and also taught in Taipei for 3 years. I have studied in different Yoga schools: National School Of Yoga Delhi, Iyengar Yoga, Ashtanga and Sivananda Yoga School.
I believe in and follow Krishna’s teaching, Sakshi Bhav: Witnessing self, our actions, things around us without judging them, without being influence by them and at the same time doing our duty without expectations. This is something to be mindful and practice everyday.
I feel my major duty right now is to take care of my students and assist them, take care of my family, friends and all living beings. The yoga journey so far very uplifting, self-healing and full of contentment. I would life to share the same learning, understanding and methods with people I come across as students and friends.
